We wanted a list that wasn’t excessively long and terrifyingly obtuse. We also wanted to offer a really decent choice by the glass and carafe, giving you the opportunity to experiment with unfamiliar grape varietals.
The list is exclusively Italian and has been complied by James Harris, whose knowledge and palate always impresses.
Please also try some of the wines in the section “Italians Abroad”. We have compiled a short list of wines made from Italian grapes in wine growing areas outside Italy. I hope you will try some of these suggestions and let us know your comments.
